Everett Dirkson Building - Washington, D.C.

The building was constructed by Baltimore Contractors. ARMM was engaged to design waterproofing and dampproofing surfaces for the entirety of the building. Mr. Ernie Kopiecky, Site Administrator, was a GSA specialist for the project.

ARMM's involvement was the preliminary design and installation monitoring of all dampproofing and waterproofing services. ARMM's responsibilities included reviewing the documents provided by the resident architect and the entire project had been placed in the fast-track mode.

ARMM produced value engineering for all documents and with their review, submitted a resubmission to GSA for possible corrections and financial deletions. After a complete review and redrafting of details, ARMM resubmitted all documents to GSA. Additional documents were returned to Baltimore Contractors for changes within the structure. ARMM addressed the roofing concerns, vertical expansion joints, plaza waterproofing, internal planters, below grade waterproofing and internal flashings.

The Phased Project continued for three years.
